For years living in rural areas I used a 50mw transmitter now that I live in a concrete jungle full of local 100,000 watt radio stations, it no longer worked for me past the apartment. With this little unit I can walk the dogs and listen to my music and share it with the local neighbors. With the back of set rubber duckie the 500mw is just perfect to cover the areas I want to cover. Great job on such a nice little transmitter!
